Reports Report 1846a (Event 1846-2014)

Observer
Name Tara P
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks My niece and I were on my front porch steps. I was facing her and she saw it first, kinda over my shoulder. She said "look at the shooting star!" I turned to look and we watched a huge , bright, thick streak go across and Down in the sky for a few seconds. We've both seen a shooting star before and agreed that this couldn't have been a star bc a shooting star last just a second and fades out and looks further away. This was brighter, a thicker streak and didn't really fizzle out the same was as a star would. And it appeared to be much closer to us than any shooting star either of us have ever seen before. She saw it and had time to tell me to look, I looked and we both watched it for a second . That's a lot longer than with a shooting star. It almost looked like fireworks shooting across the sky in slow motion.
