My wife and I both saw the fireball as we were driving. Our observation is a composite of what we saw. We thought it was a fairly local event and are surprised to learn that the fireball apparently occurred in Virginia and was observed over such a wide area.

Remarks
Saw it streaking across the sky with fiery extrusions shooting from the lower part. Not sure if the "extrusions" actually separated from main fireball.
