Reports Report 887al (Event 887-2014)

Observer
Name Jen L
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I was looking up at the bright moon while driving on Hwy 84 E / US-285 S. Then I noticed an even brighter streak of light with a SW trajectory over my right shoulder. It looked like a large, white or light yellow ball with a green tail. The light disappeared in the valley below me, seemingly behind the Jemez Mountains to the West. Not knowing exactly what I was witnessing at the time, I anticipated some kind of impact flash but didn't see anything. The event lasted about 2.5 seconds and I've never seen anything like it.
