Remarks Object must have been quite large to travel to such low altitude. , A commercial jet aircraft was in immediate area and the crew most likely observed the event. Long Beach Airport (KLGB is located 1.5 mi SSE of my location, and it is quite possible the control tower employees witnessed the event. Very luminous, vibrant green hue plus long duration / intensity for a meteor or re-entry object . Note: Have studied and observed many meteor events, as well as constellation, asteroids, etc. Studied astronomy and have done optical scope observations with Prof Kim Gorden CSULB.
