was looking out of window of SW DC apt towards reagan national airport. saw bright light that caught my attention. thought that it was plane or helicopter. noticed the green color. appeared to go down. i assumed it must have been some type toy someone was playing with near the waterfront. it was an hour or so later that i learned there were meteor sightings in my area.
