Name Kevin D
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I saw, what I thought was an airplane crashing last night, February 27, 2014, about 6:40 EST (right after sunset); it was REALLY high in the western sky, brighter light in the front of the silhouette, then a short, dimmer, wide trail (kind of like a planes vapor trail, but shorter. And it was oriented straight downward. And I thought it was a crashing plane because it was oriented straight down, and if it was a plane, everyone would be falling towards the front of the plane. Then I thought, maybe meteor--but that just happened a week or two ago, so I discarded that idea; then I thought space station; then saw other plane vapor trails in other areas of the sky, oriented different directions; so I just chalked the whole situation up to a normal plane, leaving a short, fat trail.
