| Remarks | I knew it was a celestial object, but this was the brightest shooting star I ever saw, seemed like it was coming down almost vertical while I was driving facing South-West at around 45mph. If I didn't know any better, I would've thought it blew up rihgt above Manassas and/or Dumfries area based on the direction I was facing, but when I later heard on the radio about it, I realized these things could burn up as high as 80 miles above the Earth's surface so I am sure it was way too far from Fairfax, but seemed most certainly in the South-West direction. |
