Remarks | I was sitting on my front porch and I only saw the meteor for about 5 seconds. If I had been standing in my front yard, I'm sure it would have been visible for at least 10 seconds. The sky condition was a thin overcast so I'm sure others with clear skies would report a brighter observation. I would estimate it was slightly brighter than Venus, so around -5 magnitude. The meteor appeared green and there appeared to be a fiery trail approximately .5 to 1.0 degree in length. The color of the trail appeared to be slightly orange in color. |
