Reports Report 4240e (Event 4240-2026)

Remarks I was biking home, north along the road shown in the description. It is hard to really describe the size of the object but it was significantly bigger than any visible star in the sky (id say just under a centimetre viewed from arm’s length (about a metre)) and was very bright, much brighter than a full moon, to clarify my description of the magnitude. I have never seen anything like this before, it was enough to make me get off my bike and swear out loud. It was big and bright enough to make me think it would hit the earths surface somewhere in the distance. After the initial shock of seeing it, I thought it would vanish like with a shooting star but it stayed in sight for roughly 3-5 seconds, though it did travel behind thick clouds. You guys will know better but I’d assume, without the clouds there, judging by the size and brightness of it when it left my vision, it would have been visible for a few seconds longer.
