My first time seeing one enter the atmosphere at what I feel was 'close' range....Lot depends on how big it was as to how close or far away it actually was. Seems like it fell east of I-5, maybe south of the Scio area. It was clear and dark so my depth perception and curve of the hwy I was on may have skewed my accuracy. It was a large white tail with the fireball on the end- it didn't go straight down- arched a bit to the left. So amazing!

Actually, I saw the white tail first and then the fireball/meteor- like a star had dropped from the sky!
