It was the largest bright light I have seen with a red tail appearing half way though the decent, the tail disappeared and it was still bright white then it began to fragment into maybe up to six pieces and then disappeared. I saw this while driving from East to West and it was falling North to South.

As it lost it's red tail it got lower in the sky and began to fragment near the horizon before disappearing
