At the end it kind of blew/separated and then orange or white lights started heading towards the ground

I saw it go from an object creating a long trail in the sky to it seemingly breaking into smaller pieces that looked like they were heading to the ground. I don't know if they made it to the ground or maybe I didn't see fragmentation I've never witnessed something like this before.
