Remarks I am an airline pilot and have over 26 years of aviation experience, seen a lot of meteors over the years, but never heard one before. I hav heard sonic booms and this sound was very similar except for the corresponding blue flash.

Remarks We ran out the south facing door immediately after the boom and from that location as we looked south-south-east, you could see a very slight streak in the nearly dark sky.

Remarks While standing by the window with my back turned away from the flash I saw a bright blue white flash reflect off the side of the neighbors house. My kids saw the same flash from the north facing sliding door.
