The meteor left a clear persistent train (ionization trail) behind. This glowing tail remained visible in the sky for a brief moment after the main bolide vanished and then slowly faded away.

I observed a brilliant green and white bolide during the Perseid meteor shower. It had a visible plasma shell (fire) in the front part. At the end of its path, it showed a clear terminal flare and fragmented into small pieces. A persistent ionization train was visible for a short moment after the meteor vanished. No sonic boom or sound was heard.
