It lasted more than 15 seconds and it was bright. The trail was horizontal and remained bright for awhile after the object disappeared.

I have a picture of the trail. It was long.
The ball looked like the size of a distant star. The trail it left was huge. It crossed the sky from right to left almost horizontally. I am 73 and have never seen anything like this.
