Reports Report 2648m (Event 2648-2026)

Observer
Name Heidi A
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks A group of 50ish people observed this together standing in front of an after dark ranger led presentation about frogs at the frog pond in John Heinz wildlife refuge in Philadelphia. It was NOT a firework of any size. There was no sound, and it was near the airport and it would have had to have come from very close to us in the park had it have been a firework, which it clearly did not. It was completely quiet by us to listen to the frogs and observe them. We were well in the marshy and forest park, after regular closing time, so no one else but us was nearby. We could hear a leaf move. This glow ball with sparky separation was definitely way up in the sky, not near down where fireworks, planes, or drones fly. It happened about 8:10 or 8:13 pm. I understand this was near the time of Artemis 2 reentry but so far away.
