| Remarks | 2:34pm Just north of Allentown, PA looking East. At first thought it was a jet taking off from the airport nearby, moving from east to south… but was moving too fast with no noise & not climbing but very low just visible above tree tops. Was silver green it looked like it was launching something, but it was actually sparkling & fragmenting apart & then disappeared. The background sky was clear and deep blue. The sun was very bright to my back, so at first the meteor look like, perhaps a reflection off of an airplane fuselage. and about the same luminosity, that would be typical of a small plane, reflecting sunlight at a range of 1.5 miles +/-. it was visible long enough to tell my buddy to look … If I stood with my arms outstretched with hands about 4 feet apart, that’s about how far it moved across the sky. (East to South East) |

| Remarks | initially, I thought it was a small jet taking off from the nearby airport, but it was moving too fast & not climbing. It looked to shoot something out ahead of it, but was actually the silverish-green meteor disintegrating. The first piece to disintegrate veered slightly upward while the main meteor continued along its path, seeming to sparkle and become faint and then disappearing |
