I've never seen this though I have reported several with typical tail. This caught my attention driving southwest "toward Orion" on interstate 40. I first thought it was an airplane though appeared suddenly increased in magnitude and disappeared. I knew then it wasn't a plane as several others in the sky and this was brighter. No Tail!
