Experience Level 3/5
Remarks The app is hard to use. I attach a copy of the Star Chart screen grab I took immediately after the sighting. Sunday night last, I was looking at Jupiter / Orion in the South/SW sky. (Castor/Pollux being the only part of thw Twins visible due to local light pollution and horizon placement, of late.) Approx 9:11 PM CST, I saw a flash out of Sirius, out of my periphery, which headed towards the belt of Orion & out of my vision. No sounds noticed over town traffic. It looked like it was going in the direction of Charlotte, TX. I don’t know the height, but around 9:20-9:30 PM, there was a DAL/LAR flight at about 25k ft per Flightaware. I forget the flight. But plane same size as object, which was between straw & pumkin in color & equally bright but larger than Sirius.
