The tail was bright orange then faded to a glittering yellow, almost like a sparkler that went on for a long time. When the event was over I could see a smoke stream that followed.

The initial flash was like a bright red ball and looked like a camera flash behind it that got stronger the fireball event was happening. The tail also appeared to be flashing quickly all over / glittering.
