| Remarks | This is the first real fireball I have ever seen; I have been a casual observer of planets, satellites, and constellations since the 1960s. We were driving down a dark farm road in a very rural area. When it appeared directly in front of us, I first thought someone had fired a white parachute flare into the air. But the velocity and arc was too great for that. Suddenly a large chunk broke off, and for a second it appeared as two falling bluish white/yellow objects with white sparks trailing behind. An unforgettable experience! All I can say is WOW... |

| Remarks | It started as a large fireball with trailing sparks, then a chunk fell off and trailed behind the big fireball before disappearing...wow |
