The light was directly overhead, lower in the sky than a satellite and quite large. It had the same shape as a star that would be ejected from a firework and then disappeared after a second with a very small red tail or flash and then nothing. It disappeared from view without reaching the horizon. The skies were clear and the object a very bright white light running south to north directly above the Brighton to London railway line. It didn’t looks like something re entering and was only one clear light.
