Reports Report 968cc (Event 968-2026)

Observer
Name Jeff A
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Fireball was white at the center and yellow/orange around the edges. The train and dripping pieces were yellow/orange. Did not seem to be moving as fast as meteors in a meteor shower, it was a slower arced fall to the ground. Much bigger than any meteor I've seen. Relatively speaking, if a typical meteor is the size of a golf ball, this thing was the size of a basketball. Maybe 1/10th the area of a full moon?

Remarks fragments appeared to be almost "dripping" from the train. Not a consistent drip, it would leave a trail of drips for a second, then a gap, then some more drips. Off and on throughout the flight.
