I was viewing this from an elevated position. I was about 270 feet off the ground looking out of my rooftop gym. So when it entered my field of view it was about eye level with me and VERY low in the sky. I would estimate its angle of descent was about 45 degrees towards the ground. I was facing south, it entered my field of view on the left and exited to the right. I was expecting it to explode on impact or see an explosion because I couldn't believe how low it was and how fast it was traveling. I would expect there to be some debris in the vicinity of its landing. I saw it for about 2 seconds before I lost view of it. Primarily white/orange ball with a white tail.

I think I heard some sort of impact a few seconds after it went out of sight but I'm not certain if it was the object or not.
