Remarks I am the manager of the Pukaki Observatory at Mt Cook Lakeside retreat. I was in my observatory and conducting a stargazing tour when the fireball occurred. All my guests saw it as well. My aurora cam picked up the flash of light, as it was super bright, but it was not directly pointed at the fireball. Fireball appeared in the south-east direction from the south shore of Lake Pukaki. Video uploaded can see the fireball light at 23:25:37 on 30 JAN.
