Reports Report 8897a (Event 8897-2025)

Observer
Name Viviana K
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I was driving south on US-441 from Lady Lake toward Fruitland Park around 10:30 /10.40 p.m. when I saw a bright fireball on the driver’s side (left side). The object was moving horizontally across the sky, not upward. I was between County Road 466 and Lake Griffin when I saw it. It disappeared right after I crossed Lake Griffin . I stopped at the gas station on the corner to try to take a picture, but it faded out suddenly before I could. The fireball had a long glowing trail, red and yellow in color, like fire. It lasted around 15–30 seconds before it suddenly vanished. No sound. Very bright and clearly visible while I was driving.
