Reports Report 8572e (Event 8572-2025)

Observer
Name Helen S
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Saw this from my driveway randomly when getting out the car - the area has a lot of light pollution but this was clearly a bright white fireball. My daughter also saw it. It was a thick tapering trail behind a bright white ball of light with a blue tinge and touch of green. It was much bigger/wider than any meteor. Showers we had observed previously (my daughter is quite keen on sky gazing) and we both immediately reacted to this being something different to.anything we had seen before. It was only a second or so but we were both facing dead in the right direction to see it. It burnt out with a flash well before being able to disappear behind houses and our visual horizon. I thought it must be a satellite burning up or something but on looking it up online it definitely sounds like a fireball.
