Remarks My husband and I were looking for the northern lights. Our car was facing NE on ofallon-Troy road, but we were looking north. The flash seemed to be at a 45-50° to our right. The flash literally came out of nowhere and flashed across the sky for 1-2 seconds before disappearing. It literally lite up the sky so brightly kind of like lightning but more concentrated in the spot where we saw it. The picture was taken with a 10 second exposure.
