Remarks I was playing basketball at night with my son and turned around and saw this fireball to the northeast over my house. It would have been at 6:55pm or within a minute. I snapped a screenshot on my phone right after to save the time. This was the coolest thing I have ever seen! It looked nearly as big as the moon and very close and low altitude. It was like 1000x better than any shooting star I have seen. It looked like a firework almost. As I remember, the tail end appeared to be more wavy or sparkly than anything I can find a photo of online. It was not just a perfectly straight line. I do not believe I heard anything but I was totally caught off guard and immediately spoke two 4 letter words upon seeing the fireball. I'm not an experienced sky watcher but I believe this was a once in a lifetime event and I do not see any pictures online that are as spectacular as this was in person.
