Remarks I’ve seen plenty of shooting stars, but never anything like this fireball. It was like a wide and straight bolt of lightening—like in cartoons. The upper section widened as it hit about 2/3 its eventual length and there was a burst like something burned up, about 2/3 down, and then the “bolt” Continued, thinning out and dissapearing. This was as I was driving northbound on route 3 in southern NH, before Londonderry I believe. To describe the direction, let’s say i was heading toward 1 on a clock, the fireball came in at about 11:00. It wasn’t straight but had a slight angle to the left, with a slight crook where the burst was, as if the burst threw the trajectory off a slight bit more to the left, though overall remaining relatively straight and slightly angled left. It all happened quickly but was amazing in its brilliance. Though the moon was nearly full, the sky was overcast. But the fireball was brilliant. A yellow white and green, particularly where the burst occurred. A light green. Thank you for the opportunity to share. Please excuse any typos.
