Reports Report 7659as (Event 7659-2025)

Observer
Name Geo A
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks It was different to other shooting stars I've seen as it seemed so close and was wider with the unusual smoke like trail. At first I thought it was some rocket or perhaps a firework, but it was too high and so different, no sound and the head didn't fizzle out, it was fast to shoot across from overhead, the bright head disappeared and the smoke trail just remained, never seen that before!

Remarks The bright light that shot through the sky like a javelin left a white trail which looked like smoke rather than something glowing creating the streak in the sky. It was white and faded away just like smoke. The dissipating occurred for a few seconds, lasting longer than the glowing point, it disappeared breaking down from the point closest to the fireball to the end of the trail. It wasn't anything I've seen before of shooting stars.
