| Remarks | I have spent my life outdoors, and only seen something this prolonged and bright once in the 90s. The sky wasn't very dark, and for about 3 minutes afterwards I could still see the comet when I closed my eyes. Almost like welders flash. I stayed out for approximately 30 minutes to see if there would be anymore activity but there was not. As a side note, the seemed to break apart at an extremely low altitude. Whether that was only due to my perspective I can't say. |
