| Remarks | I have observed dozens of meteors and four fireballs. My initial impression was this was a meteor, but the eastern sky was starting to get light so I then thought it was a fireball. But this looked different than the other fireballs I have seen. The apparent velocity was quite a bit less than the others I have seen. Also, when it fragmented, the individual pieces were substantially less bright than the main piece which was not what I observed before. I wondered if this might be a satellite entering the atmosphere. Hope this is helpful. |
