| Remarks | I am very confident this was some sort of a meteor, fireball etc. It was definitely unlike anything I had ever seen before and realized how rare it probably was for me to see. I have seen "shooting stars" that last just a second, but this was way different. I have an engineering degree, so my mindset was to do a bunch of research and find out what I could as fast as possible. I found a few details but saw where I could report it and decided that would probably be my best idea to learn more about what I saw. I got a few pictures I could share if I know more about the confidentiality. Thank you. |

| Remarks | I'm not sure how long it was. The glowing and smoke started at the point fragmentation occurred first then pointed down toward the horizon. There was 5 or 6 "lines" of smoke that slowly started degrading and getting hazy before no longer being able to be seen. I took pictures with my phone in night mode and got a couple pictures of the fireball and the smoke. They aren't super clear because I zoomed in a little bit. |

| Remarks | I first noticed the fireball as one solid 'piece' almost directly above me as I was just enjoying the clear sky. My first thought was "that plane is travelling fast", but I work with aircraft every day and then realized that it was travelling way faster than any aircraft I had ever seen. I watched it speeding across the sky then approach the horizon as if it was falling down and that's when it fragmented into multiple pieces. I was so confused at what I just witnessed and didn't know what to think. It's surreal to think about how fast it was actually travelling. It broke into multiple pieces and fell below the mountains in the horizon. Multiple smoke trails stayed for a little while and started breaking apart getting hazy. |
