I was driving in my car home from work in the early morning when the whole sky lit up as bright as day for a brief moment. When I leaned forward to look up into the night sky I saw the white light fading and a very large blue and red trail. The whole incident lasted about 3 - 5 seconds, I have never seen anything like that before.
