| Remarks | When i noticed them, they were close to Scheddi in Capricorn, They went out of sight near O-Umi in Canis Minor. There was high partial cloud cover which may have obscured their passage north. It was quiet. I listed for a boom or explosion but did not hear one. They were quite bright, especially the lead, maybe like a 2 or 3 day old new moon. |

| Remarks | There were two fireballs, the 2nd and slightly smaller one trailing the first by about 10 deg. Each fireball had an trail of orange sparks arrayed direclty behind it. After the fireballs suddenly vanished the stream of sparks dispersed (widened) a bit before vanishing. The fireballs and their tails reminded me of the videos of the debris of Columbia as they burned through the atmosphere above Texas. |
