| Experience Level | 3/5 |
| Remarks | We live on a mountain top with 360° unimpaired views. We are self-taught amateur astronomers with a fair amount of quality glass and mediocre cameras. Binoculars, spotting scopes, and a few telescopes, including an 8” Celestron 8SE. In other words, we are sky watchers who spend time on Earth gazing heavenwards. |

| Fragmentation | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | As it first entered the atmosphere and lit up, it was a single, large, slow moving streak. About one second after appearing, it fragmented into at least three pieces; one large, which continued for another few seconds, and the others smaller, which soon disappeared. The larger section then fragmented again, into at least two pieces, one large and the other small. The larger piece continued on for another second or so, then terminated in a bright flash. |
