I have a clear view and this meteor was low and bright! It wasn’t even dark yet and it lit up the sky!

No smoke. The beginning was a bright ball and there were pieces trailing behind it before it disappeared. It was VERY bright because it wasn’t even dark yet. I thought a plane was crashing.
