Reports Report 3429ak (Event 3429-2025)

Observer
Name Kevin O
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks A bright green bolide entered from the south-southeast, arcing slowly across ~15° of sky toward the northeast at ~25° elevation. It glowed intensely green with a vivid yellow-orange spark trail that extended around 3–5°, brightest immediately behind the object. The trail was dynamic and appeared to fragment. Duration approximately 3 seconds. No sound was heard, but local traffic noise may have masked any possible sonic boom. Brightness far exceeded Venus, possibly rivaling fireworks or a road flare at close range. Sky was hazy, and the object lit up the haze substantially. Tail and sparks faded quickly — some afterglow may have been retinal due to intensity, but no lingering train was clearly visible. Object was very striking in appearance and color.
