| Remarks | I was sitting on a west facing building balcony, so the meteor came into view directly overhead when it entered my field of vision, and flew WSW for a few seconds, burning brightly, green with orange flame, and leaving a trail behind briefly. I have seen several bright solitary meteors in my lifetime, as well as larger numbers of meteors in meteor showers, and I would estimate this is the third brightest one I have seen. It was so bright, appearing soon after sunset, that I initially thought it was a firework or something, and only realized too late to take a photo that it was a very bright fireball meteor. |
