| Remarks | it had a really long bright glowing orange tail that was visible across half the sky, followed by a softer fading arc. I don't have views of the horizon, but it moved across my entire line of sight. Not directly overhead. If horizon is 0 degrees; and directly overhead is 90 degrees, its highest point was about 70-75 degrees in front of me. Way brighter than any star or even any airplane lights, moving faster than the speed of satellites, but much slower than shooting stars I've seen in the past. Initially I thought it was a firework shot up from the ground, but then it kept going across the sky and it was silent and I've never seen a tail like that. it was amazing. |
