Remarks Description of the Event: I witnessed a bright meteor streaking across the night sky in Star Valley, Wyoming. It appeared suddenly and lasted several seconds. The object was glowing brightly—mostly white with a possible tint of blue or green. It traveled quickly in a downward arc and appeared to fragment before disappearing. The meteor was moving northward in the direction of Alpine, Wyoming. It was vivid and lit up the sky briefly. I did not hear any sound, but the brightness and clarity made it an unforgettable sight. Additional Notes: Skies were mostly clear, visibility was good, and I had a clear line of sight with no obstructions. I’m reporting this to help document what may have been part of a larger meteor event seen in the region.
