Remarks | Was a very disturbing event to observe as it was unlike anything I've ever experienced. i have grown up watching meteor showers from my backyard and am very verse in science matters (avid Discover mag reader). I was driving down a hill when the fireball entered my view from the east, passed in front of me and winked out before trending towards mountainous terrain to the west of my neighborhood. I was expecting it to catch something on fire, but it seemed to extinguish as it fell to the earth. |
