| Remarks | I was looking down through my Dobsonian telescope at a different part of the sky when the initial flash lit up the surrounding area, giving me enough time to stand up, turn about 100° to my right, and then see the object burning in the sky for another second and a half or so. The entire time the area was lit with a bright blue light, which I estimate lit up the observatory grounds a bit brighter than a full moon would have. I also heard a weak pop sound after the object disappeared, but I would guess that the sound was delayed by about 20+ sec from when I last saw any of the object's light. I am not sure if the sound was related. |

| Remarks | As the object proceeded to burn through the sky, just before it extinguished it fragmented into several small pieces who burned more brightly (whiter) than the original light blue color |
