When I first saw the fireballs there were 2 of them. A smaller one trailing the larger one. Both had tails of sparks behind them. Brightest objects I have seen in the sky. Lowest in the horizon as well. The trailing fireball went out within a second of me seeing it. The first fireball lasted several seconds and traveled the majority of the horizon from west to east. I lost it behind some trees and did not see it go out.
