I was in a car stopped at the head of Central St (where it meets Main St) looking straight ahead (north). The event was almost straight ahead, slightly to the right.
It was slightly slanted from east to west, but I can't say for sure how much. I think it was slightly curved, with the concave side to the right (east), but again I can't be sure. If it had been going up instead of down then it would have obviously been fireworks. I only saw it going down, but there's a chance I missed something since I had just driven up to an intersection. It was obviously light green, but light enough that it would mean somebody wasn't trying very hard if they made fireworks that color.
I asked at a nearby hardware store staffed by locals who know the area. They said they did not know of any reason there would be fireworks anywhere in the area, especially before it had gotten completely dark, and there's no place in that direction where they'd expect people to go to shoot off firework. |
