| Remarks | It was partly cloudy. I noticed the moon partly showing through some clouds. As I walked back into my house I noticed what I first thought was an extraordinary bright star in the eastern sky. Then I noticed it was clearly moving. So I thought it was a plane. But planes don't typically fly E-W at that elevation (as bright as it was, a plane would have to be pretty low) above my house. They usually travel N-S. Nor that fast. Then I just watched as it pass very rapidly directly over my head, maybe slightly to the north. Then it went behind some trees in the western sky. I assumed it landed in the Pacific somewhere west of Honolulu. |
