| Remarks | We actually saw this from the southbound 1-15 highway just leaving the city limits of Nephi, Utah. We just happened to look towards the eastern mountains and saw a ball of lights so large we thought it was aircraft lights at first, but it was moving too fast-almost as fast as a shooting star, bright and glowing greenish blue with a long, long trail of yellow, orange, and hints of red, sparkling behind it. Near the end of its descent, it split into two and almost seeming to shower sparks. It seemed so close I would have sworn it landed in/near the mountains. |
