I use my telescope on unique full moon displays, and frequently head out to a dark field to watch the aurora borealis or meteor showers, especially in August.

Remarks
Immediately texted my wife “Just saw a helluva burning comet”. It was the brightest thing I had ever seen in the night sky, except for the full moon. It left a gently curling trail (slight curve). It was a bright orange ball and looked like a continuing flame. There was a hazy glowing trail.
