I like to think I am very experienced with space sciences but not very much so with stargazing. I was ogling at the clear night (for the first time in a long time) and doing some work outside (yes, at 11pm) and a bucket list item is scratched off. I hope others near me also report this so I know I wasn't just seeing things. Because Holy Frick

I believe so but it was hard to tell. I was distracted and not expecting a bucket list item to be scratched off.
